Those who had suffered from a heart attack, ALCAR supplementation (2-3 g/day over 4-8 weeks) resulted in a reduction in the amount of damage to the heart muscle.
ALCAR reduced the incidence of angina and cardiac arrhythmias as well as the need for anti-angina and anti-arrhythmic medications.ALCAR (2g/ day for 6 months) increased exercise capacity among the elderly and patients with angina.Natural sources of carnitine include foods of animal origin, such as meat and dairy products.
