How Chocolate Help pancreatic cancer

Polyphenolic procyanidins are flavonoid polymers composed of flavan-3-ol units (catechin and epicatechin). They are found in abundance in various products derived from cocoa bean, including cocoa, cocoa powder, and chocolate.

Normally they are found at their highest concentrations in dark chocolate. It is well documented that cocoa and chocolate polyphenolic polymers are among the richest sources of procyanidins.

In vivo studies in mice using polyphenols revealed that pancreatic cancer cells selectively underwent apoptosis while non-diseased tissue was unaffected. Experimental evidence has revealed NF-kB, PI 3-kinase and ROS-generators as cell survival targets that are attenuated in this approach. In contrast, the mitochondrial permeability transition pore and caspases have been identified as molecular targets that are responsible for triggering apoptosis.

This discovery can potentially be used for the treatment of other cancers, as well as for sensitizing refractory tumors to chemotherapeutic and/or radiation therapies.
 ADVANTAGES

  • A combination of polyphenols and ROS inhibitors dramatically reduces tumor size and inhibits tumor metastasis in a pancreatic cancer mouse model.
  • The polyphenol rottlerin is effective without added ROS inhibitors.
  • Non-diseased tissue is unaffected in in vivo studies in mice.
  • There is no immunological response since cells die via apoptosis.
  • There is no apparent toxicity.
APPLICATIONS

  • Potential treatment for pancreatic cancer.
  • Potential to sensitize refractory cancer cells to other treatments.
  • May be applicable to other cancers.
  • Possible utility as a preventative for pancreatic cancer

Research is indicating that not only is eating dark chocolate a good strategy for preventing pancreatic cancer, but also a host of other degenerative diseases brought on by our life styles, unhealthy environment, and the foods we ingest. All chocolate is not the same.

 HEALTH BENEFITS
It is well documented that cocoa and chocolate polyphenolic polymers are among the richest sources of procyanidins. It is one of the most complex food substances on earth containing over 300 chemically identifiable compounds. These beans are packed with potent antioxidants called flavonoids which boost numerous health benefits, reduce blood pressure, and decreases the body's inflammatory immune responses (which contribute to atherosclerosis)

COMPARED TO WHAT?
When a dark chocolate bar states 70% cocoa on the label it does not mean it is rich in flavonoids or nutrients. All "store bought" chocolate is heat processed which destroys most nutrients. In addition, they often contain high calories, bad fats, chemical fillers, waxes, added sugars and caffeine plus preservatives!

GBG's 10-in-ONE Facts Review

GBG Supplement Facts Review (no affiliate link)

There are many liquid vitamin supplements on the market. However none compare in superiority or price to GBG 10-in-One.Is GBG 10-in-On a scam?

Following is a line by line evaluation of the ingredients listed on the 10-in-One GBG Supplement Facts sheet as found in the 2008 Physician’s Desk Reference (PDR). Also known as the Supplement Facts Sheet.
GBG 10-in-One.

What are the ingredients? Is GBG 10-in-1 safe? Is it as good as "they" said?

GBG 10-in-1 as listed in the 2008 PDR. GBG 10-in-One contains 32 1 ounce servings per bottle.

Calories and Carbs
: 10-in-1 has no calories. So if you are trying to lose weight, I'd say 10-in-1 is a great choice in helping you do so.

Vitamin A
: Vitamin A is important for vision and development of vision. The SUL (Safe Upper Level) of Vitamin A is 5,000 IU. That is the exact amount of Vitamin A in GBG 10-in-1. So I would hope it's safe to say that 10-in-1 is helpful in maintaining healthy vision.

Vitamin C
: GBG 10-in-1 has a whopping 833% of your RDA! And that doesn't appear to be a bad thing. I can't find anything showing Vitamin C is unsafe to take in large amounts. Actually, all I find is info stating why you should consume more of it and how it is good at increasing the body's immunity. The only UL info I could find on Vitamin C is on SUL (Safe Upper Level) of beta-Carotene. The SUL of Vitamin C is 11,655 IU.

Vitamin D
: As of late I've seen info stating that we should be consuming more Vitamin D. GBG does a pretty good job of supplying a fair amount of Vitamin D. GBG 10-in-One actually exceeds the RDA. Actually, 10-in-1 used to have twice the amount in their formula and I would be interested in finding out why they reduced it. The SUL of Vit D is 1000 IU. GBG 10-in-One only contains at least half that amount.

Vitamin E:
Well, looks like 10-in-1 has more than a fair amount of Vitamin. And seeing as though 800 IU is the SUL for Vitamin E an Vitamin E is good for healthy skin, the largest organ of our body, this can't be a bad thing.

Vitamin K:
It is a plant based mineral that helps prevent hemmorhaging and helps strengthen bones and capillaries. The UL of Vitamin K is 1000 and GBG doesn't even come close to exceeding the safe levels.

Thiamin (Vitamin B1) & Riboflavin (Vitamin B2):
10-in-1 has a HUGE amount of these two vitamins in its product. What do these vitamins do? They both are believed to help increase your energy. If you're looking for an energy booster, GBG 10-in-1 has a more promising composition of natural safe ingredients to help you. The only side effects of these two vitamins is to consume more than 7000mg of B1 which can result in headache, naseau, or weakness - but never death. Taking excessive amounts of B2 is however generally considered harmless.

Niacin:
Niacin is believed to be good for the heart and effective in lowering cholesterol. 10-in-1 has 50% more Niacin than the RDA. While the UL of Niacin is 35 mg, GBG is 5 mg under the UL, so you may want to watch your additional intake of Niacin on a daily basis if it's a lot. Some of the side effects of consuming too much niacin are liver damage and gastrointestinal problems.

Vitamin B6:
This vitamin is a multitasker. It plays a major role in the functions of the body that many people do not realize. It works like a mediator for problems in your body and helps it to regulate itself. The UL for B6 is 100mg.

Folic Acid:
Apparently, surveys show that the U.S. does not consume enough folic acid. GBG 10-in-1 has 50% more than the RDA. What has sparked such a huge interest in folic acid is that it is linked to fetal developmental defects. The UL is 1000 mcg, of which GBG has 600 mcg. So it's within the safe levels.

Vitamin B12:
HUGE amount... GBG has 1567% more than the RDA! What does this mean to you? Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient that the body needs to maintain healthy nerve and red blood cells. And since blood is the life that flows through our bodies, maintenance of these cells seems important in prolonging a healthier life and body. Since there are no reports of toxicity from oral ingestion, it doesn't appear as though there's a such thing as too much B12.

Biotin:
GBG has the safe amounts as listed in the RDA.

Pantothenic Acid:
GBG 10-in-1 contains 150% more than the RDA. It plays an important role in this liquid vitamin combination because it helps to absorb Vitamins B6, B12, and C - all of which GBG has very high amounts of.

Calcium:
I've always thought of a main source of calcium to be milk - especially with those "milk, it does a body good" commercials. However very small amounts of calcium are actually found in milk. GBG 10-in-1 contains small amounts of calcium. It only has 3%. Seeing as thought the UL of calcium appears to be 2500 mg, I wonder the supplement don't contain higher doses??

Magnesium:
This is the final ingredient that’s on most supplement facts sheet that can be found in GBG 10-in-One. It falls significantly short of the RDA. GBG 10-in-1's source of Magnesium declares it to be from coral calcium. I'm not sure if that matters or not...

Phosphorous, Iodine, Zinc, Selenium, Copper, Manganese, Chromium, and Potassium
all CANNOT be found in the GBG 10-in-1 upper portion of Supplement Facts. They can only be found in the lower portion of the Supplement Facts and are a proprietary blend of trace minerals.
Additional Ingredients GBG 10-in-One contains the popular super foods acai berry, blueberry, pomegrante, and other popular headliners like CoQ10, Aloe, L-Carnitine, as well as a few other shared ingredients.

However, GBG 10-in-1 contains three super foods that most other liquid vitamin supplements do not: amalaki, mangosteen and goji berry. It also contains Rhodiola, L-Theanine, Choline Bitartate, Eleuthro, Schizandra, Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Lutein, Lycopene, Quercetin, Tumeric, which all have recently surfaced as being good for your health.

Is GBG safe to consume?I don't know, from the fct/study ase on paper work ,yes. There are too many people trying to make money from it,there are not really reviewing a product.

It appears to contain both a larger inventory of ingredients as well as a larger variety of ingredients compared to the competition.

GBG 10-in-ONE™ Formula Is A Unique Blend Of Ingredients! at $19.95 (+S&H) per bottle.

I still thinking should i try out.Stay tuned!

Quick Cure for Youthful Joints Pain

After decades of research, a scientifically proven way to actually reverse joint damage, rebuildjoints and eliminate pain, stiffness, and swelling in the process...Far Better than ho-hum glucosamine HCl and chondroitin.

Exercise to Relieve Joint Pain

Low-impact or even no-impact exercises work best for those suffering from joint discomfort. Aerobic swimming allows range of motion exercise with minimal strain on joints. A comfortable walk on even ground with proper footwear will not tax your joints. Gradually increase your walking speed so that you are able to take a brisk walk for at least 15 to 20 minutes a day.

Pilates are especially structured for people who need a low impact and low intensity exercise program. Pilates are a flow of body movements that build up strength in the muscles and increase flexibility of joint range and motions. Pilates incorporates precision, poise and breathing making it a great way to exercise and relax at the same time!

Joint Health Supplements

Many people revert to NSAIDs to help them get through painful exercise. Exercising an inflamed joint, because NSAIDs have deadened the pain is more likely to cause damage in the long run. Instead, a better option is to use joint health supplements like GoFlex. These supplements contain a combination of nutrients both natural and herbal, such as glucosamine sulfate, Hyal joint, Interhealth Collagen II, MSM, boswellin and more. Many of these have been researched well. .

Don’t let joint discomfort stop you from exercising. Why? Because exercising can help alleviate joint pain. Doctors recommend exercise for relieving discomfort associated with poor joint health. Initially, it may not make sense to a person who is suffering from excruciating discomfort after each exercise routine. But ask your doctor about using a personalized exercise routine tuned to your level of comfort to help you overcome the hurdle. In time, you can successfully enjoy your exercise plan and look forward to a happy, independent lifestyle for years to come!

The Fastest Way to Get your Kids Healthy!

Keep Your Kids Healthy with Two Natural Nutrients and One Potent Knockout Herb
By Shane

My kids understand that I don't give out medication easily. The use of any drug - prescription or otherwise - can mean unpleasant side effects, needless expense, and even life-threatening injury. So, to avoid all that, I prefer to protect my kids by giving them two nutritional supplements that have proven to be safe and effective at warding off illness, especially in the winter.

- Vitamin C. I'm not talking about synthetic, Franken-chemical vitamin C supplements. Synthetic versions of this vitamin are usually inferior, because the body doesn't assimilate them well. Nor do they confer the myriad of benefits that natural Vitamin C can provide. Stick with the natural kind, loaded with ascorbic acid and an array of synergizing bioflavonoid molecules. The best natural sources are fresh grapefruits and oranges.

- Cod liver oil. Taking 100 percent natural cod liver oil is a morning ritual in my house. Most companies distill their cod liver oil and then add back inferior, pharmaceutical-grade vitamins D, E, and A. But not the company I use - Nordic Naturals.

Both of these nutrients have proven to be non-toxic. You can feel comfortable giving them to your kids (and taking them yourself) to boost immunity. Unfortunately, this plan isn’t 100%. Kids can still get sick.

To make sure they get over their illness as quickly as possible, they need to get plenty of sleep. Of course, a hacking cough or stuff nose can prevent your children from getting that much-needed shut eye.

To solve the problem, you might consider valerian root (This is what I give my kids). This single plant carries a mouthful of non-addictive, sedative compounds that helps kids sleep soundly without the interruption of aches and pains.

3 Metabolic Lessons that Wildly Transformed

Biggest metabolic lessons

Metabolic:
the whole range of biochemical processes that occur within us (or any living organism). Metabolism consists of anabolism (the buildup of substances) and catabolism (the breakdown of substances).

The term "metabolic" is often used to refer specifically to the breakdown of food and its transformation into energy.

3 Metabolic Lessons That Wildly Transformed My bodily makeup:

In the beginning, I was a cyclist and collegiate runner. During that time I was a frail 140lbs and 12% body fat, standing at 5'9". My passion for athletics led me to study exercise science, biology and chemistry. I've been a nutritional consultant for British Petroleum as well as a cycling coach for the famed Team Type 1 - a diabetic cycling team and winner of The Race Across America. This experience put me into a management position at ThePeoplesChemist.com where I have managed customized eating, exercise and supplement programs for diabetics, Soccer Moms and elite athletes. During this time, I have learned 3 metabolic lessons that have wildly transformed my physique.

First, I learned that eating fat does not make you fat and that it's the most important part of your diet. During my cycling days, I would eat like a rabbit, which meant lots of veggies and very little fat. I suffered from hunger and lack of energy. Since then my caloric intake is 60 percent fats, which, as taught by The AM-PM Fat Loss Discovery, keeps my fat storing hormone insulin low and muscle building testosterone high. I'm never hungry and don't suffer from the dreadful grumpiness that comes with it. Oh yea, and my energy is through the roof. My fridge is always stocked with my favorite fats like real butter, coconut oil, avocados, nuts and seeds, cod liver oil, fish and grass fed beef.

Second, I learned that you have to take the right supplements. One of the key factors in building lean, sexy muscle is to eat more muscle-building amino acids than your body uses. This is known technically as "keeping a positive nitrogen balance." To do this, you need a great protein supplement that is loaded with branched-chain amino acids - and you need to know how much to take and when to take it. The best is Whey Advanced. It contains no sugar or artificial flavors and is loaded with the muscle building stack of whey isolate, micellar casein and vitamin C. There's nothing else like it.

Finally, I learned to stop working out so damn much! While managing thepeopleschemist.com I've watched dozens of athletes "train themselves into mediocrity." By exercising too often, they lose their "hormone intelligence," thereby stifling their power, endurance and mental edge while at the same time increasing their chances of injury.

I no longer train myself into athletic mediocrity. I work out hard about four days per week, rather than my previous five to six. More important than quantity is intensity. As taught to me, "by the clock, you get less training, but biologically you get double the effect thanks to preserving hormone intelligence." I’ve experienced the benefits first hand as I recently won my first jiu-jitsu tournament in Denver.

Since my early days as a skinny and soft cyclist, these lessons have allowed me gain 25 lbs of solid muscle while at the same time chiseling my body fat to 4.5%! It's great to feel confident enough to take my shirt off at the beach or anywhere else for that matter but even better to live young while following my passions without the threat of poor health. Whether it's for health, to look great or to be the best athlete you can be - at any age - these three metabolic lessons are your ticket to transforming your own physique.
